Professional career

Markus Hormann, born in 1968, grew up in Hamburg and graduated from high school there. Driven by his passion for literature and foreign cultures, he studied literature and Romance languages in Berlin, Montpellier (France), and Cáceres (Spain). He began his professional career at the news channel n-tv, where he quickly developed a strong interest in international financial markets and investment topics. As an economics editor, he made valuable contacts and seized the opportunity to move into private banking after an interview guest made him an interesting offer. In this role, he built up a solid understanding of customer consulting and sales. To finally experience leadership skills and strategic management first-hand, he joined the management team of a retirement home. There, he gained extensive experience in senior leadership. Since 2014, Markus Hormann has been following his calling as a business coach.

Trainer, consultant, coach

Markus Hormann coaches, trains, and advises companies and executives in the areas of communication and transformation. He has extensive expertise in storytelling—including narrative leadership, founder stories, vision stories, customer stories, and personal & purpose stories. He also specializes in customer experience, particularly in the areas of sales & service and best practices related to customer journeys. As a project manager, he has led bank tests in the DACH region for many years and continues to serve as a jury member for bank pitches. In addition, he is a sought-after screenwriter for e-learning and web-based training courses. His practice-oriented training and coaching sessions always aim to bring about lasting change in companies.

Qualifications (selection): Agile Transformation Coach (IHK-certified), systemic team coach, certified mediator, MBA, AI courses, and foreign languages (English, Spanish, and French).
