Resilient value creation in the manufacturing industry - innovative, successful, crisis-proof

Empowering staff to act in crisis situations

Strengthen personal robustness and flexibility: The three essential aspects for employees in crisis situations are orientation, networking and certainty of action. Companies provide orientation through a practically tangible and, above all, positive goal image that is reflected in the managers and at the same time present through experience. This creates the all-important "why" as a prerequisite for special efforts. Networking serves to "catch" staff in difficult situations and provides further security in day-to-day business. Contingency plans should therefore be designed not only for the functioning of processes, but especially for regular contact and exchange among the staff as well as with managers. Confidence in action can be achieved through training (e.g. for bricolage) and networked crisis exercises. Independent action and networked decision-making must be trained.
